Kyokushin 10th Kyu

前屈立

Zen Kutsu Dachi

Zen Kutsu Dachi, also known as the Front Stance, is a fundamental stance used in Kyokushin karate. In this stance, the practitioner steps forward with one leg while keeping the other leg behind in a long, deep stance. The front knee is bent, forming a right angle, while the back leg remains straight. The majority of the weight is placed on the front leg, providing stability and power in both offensive and defensive techniques. The front foot points straight ahead, while the back foot is angled slightly outward. This stance emphasizes forward movement and engagement, allowing the practitioner to generate strong and swift attacks while maintaining a solid base for defense.
